AuCom Softstarter for starting Firefighting Pump

Invertek Drives has completed the successful installation and commissioning of a 1600 kW, 440V firefighting pump system for an Offshore Support Vessel (OSV). The project scope included the supply of a comprehensive soft starter panel integrated with a bypass contactor and a PLC-based control system.

A key feature of the system is the AuCom soft starter, designed to significantly reduce the starting current, ensuring compliance with the onboard generator’s capacity limits. This solution not only enhances operational reliability but also optimizes energy efficiency, meeting the stringent requirements of marine firefighting systems.
