Successful Sea Trials of Wind Archer. A Milestone in Sustainable Marine Electrification by Invertek Drives.

Invertek Drives Singapore, in partnership with Ingeteam Marine, is pleased
to announce the successful completion of sea trials for the ABS-classed
DP2 CSOV, Wind Archer, built by Marcopolo Shipyard.

Our comprehensive scope of supply encompassed the vessel’s entire
electric propulsion system, including propulsion and thruster motors,
frequency converters, a battery energy storage system (BESS), a power
management system (PMS), the main switchboard, and transformers,
collectively delivering 10MW of propulsion power.

The sophisticated PMS incorporates Peak Shaving and Spinning Reserve
functionalities, crucial for optimizing energy utilization and minimizing fuel
consumption during critical Dynamic Positioning (DP) operations, thereby
significantly enhancing efficiency and promoting sustainability within the
offshore wind industry.
