Upgrading of Mooring Winch Frequency Converter for Oil Rig

Invertek Drives Far East has successfully completed the upgrade of four 500HP water-cooled  frequency converter drives for the anchor handling winch system aboard an oil rig. This  major achievement is part of our broader electrification journey, reflecting our dedication to  providing cutting-edge solutions for the offshore industry. 

The scope of this project included ensuring full compatibility between existing and new  systems, seamlessly installing and commissioning the upgraded drives, and completing  rigorous performance tests.
