Upgrading Of Thruster Drives For Cable Laying Vessel

Invertek Drives Far East has completed an upgrade of thruster drives for a Cable Laying Vessel, integrating 4 units of 500 kW frequency converters for this DP2 cable layer. The scope of work included ensuring compatibility and proper interface between the old and new systems, installing and commissioning the new drives, and finally the sea trial.
